2 Drivers Escape Injury in Serious Crash

Two drivers on the Black Isle escaped serious injury in a car accident that left one vehicle in flames and the other in pieces on its side.

The accident occurred this evening, 11th March, on the B9169 outside Easter Kinkell Primary school at approximately 21:10. Good samaritans including a nurse,quickly attended to the two drivers involved in the accident, with both seemingly escaping serious injury.

The car exploded resulting in a fire spreading to nearby gorse and foilage. Scottish Fire and Rescue from Dingwall fire station attended and extinguished the fire with two hosereel jets usuing breathing apparatus & made the other vehicle safe. They used thermal cameras to check for any hots-spots in the surrounding vegetation.

A female casualty was taken by Ambulance to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness with non life threatening injuries.
